Ella Fitzgerald List of Songs
Questions and Answers
Jazz fusion, soul jazz.. Songs and singers??
Do you know any?
Anything Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Tania Maria (Brazilian), Billie Holliday (a little more blues here), Josephine Baker, Lena Horne, Nina Simone (you get jazz, classical, soul and blues with this one) – the list goes on and on . . .
I've decided to have a wedding reception after all, originally this wasnt my plan, but I've changed my mind.
That being said.
Bride/Groom dance – what would be a good song?
Father/Daughter- In My Life (Ozzy or The Beatles, I have yet to decide, which do you think. My dad likes them both)
And I want to have a Father-in-law/Daughter-in-law dance because my FIL is like a father to me. I was thinking of heart of gold by neil young, but I'm not sure, because its about a man searching for someone to love and hes married. But at the same time, he says I have a heart of gold, so I'm kindof confuzed here… If you can think of a similar song, I'd appreciate it. Or just tell me if that would work.
Thanks in advance!
-Dazie
PS: I Suppose I should add that my fiancee and I don't like rap or anything of such sorts. We like older music, like anything from the 50's to the late 80s and some current artists like Danzig and BLS, but I don't think those are appropriate for a wedding reception, especially since my family is Christian…
(We are Pagan, However)
I just don't want to scare my family with what they might consider 'heathen music.'
Sorry SubZero, I'm an adult.

I want to make a cd of some really good Christmas songs any suggestions.
My Christmas music list has a lot but a few "Classic" christmas singers are Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Moonglows, Brenda Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Mariah Carey, Band Aid, Louis Armstrong, Eartha Kitt, Burl Ives, Perry Como, Jackson 5, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, The Muppets, Gloria Estefan, The drifters. Chances are that you will find many songs that you like from them. I like more upbeat songs, but there are many songs out there. You can also type in their names under Itunes to listen to their songs.
You can also just go to this website and you will find plenty of classics! Good luck!

Also, if you go to Pandora.com and type in a Christmas song that you like, it will find similar songs that you might like.
